Priyamvada Gopal, a professor at the University of Cambridge has caused a storm with a series of racist comments on Twitter.

The professor posted a series of vile tweets saying 'white lives don't matter' and 'abolish whiteness'.

Cambridge University appear to have no problem with her racist statements.

Britain First are calling for an investigation by the 'Equality and Human Rights Commission' as such blatant racist behaviour should not go unpunished in a civilised society.

<p>FOR THE ATTENTION OF THE EQUALITY AND HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSIONERS:</p> <p>To whom it may concern,</p> <p>I understand that Priyamvada Gopal, a 'professor' at the University of Cambridge who has seen fit to wade into the Black Lives Matter (BLM) controversy, has caused a storm with a series of racist comments on Twitter.</p> <p>The 'professor' - apparently an academic in the field of colonial and postcolonial literature - posted a series of vile tweets saying 'white lives don't matter' and 'abolish whiteness'.</p> <p>Although she has since been reported to Cambridgeshire Police (with no arrest made as yet), Cambridge University themselves appear to have no problem with her statements, as she has been subsequently promoted to a full professorship - thus literally rewarding her for promoting hate speech.</p> <p>I demand a full investigation by the Equality and Human Rights Commission into Professor Gopal's racism on the basis that even if Cambridgeshire Police and Cambridge University are unwilling to take appropriate action, such behaviour should not go unpunished in a civilised society.</p> <p>I look forward to hearing from you at the earliest opportunity.</p><p id="sign_off" class="mceNonEditable">
