PETITION: Ban the burka! Ban this oppressive medieval practice!

Goal: 100,000 Signatures

ADDRESSED TO: JUSTICE SECRETARY SHABANA MAHMOOD

Today, in the House of Commons, a Reform MP, Sarah Pochin, questioned Keir Starmer about banning the oppressive Islamic burka.

Keir Starmer ignored the question, but the question has caused a storm in politics and in the media.

The British people overwhelmingly want the burka/niqab banned on security grounds.

The burka/niqab is a backward practice that oppresses women.

We have launched a petition that we intend to deliver to Justice Secretary Shabana Mahmood, demanding that there is an urgent public referendum on this issue.

One of the saddest things I have seen is a young woman in a burka playing peek-a-boo with her young son.

We don’t know who is behind the face covering. Women should be seen by all, she should not hidden from anyone

The burka represents a refusal to integrate, they will never work and contribute to our society wearing these medieval garments.

As a motorcyclist I am banned from wearing my crash helmet in numerous retail locations and yet women (or possibly men) are allowed in unconditionally

I personally feel intimated by people wearing a burka. Their also a security risk in the UK.

    I

Not comfortable with full face covering and the outfit itself

Has no place in western society.

It’s intimidating and a security issue
