PETITION: Ban the burka! Ban this oppressive medieval practice!

Goal: 100,000 Signatures

ADDRESSED TO: JUSTICE SECRETARY SHABANA MAHMOOD

Today, in the House of Commons, a Reform MP, Sarah Pochin, questioned Keir Starmer about banning the oppressive Islamic burka.

Keir Starmer ignored the question, but the question has caused a storm in politics and in the media.

The British people overwhelmingly want the burka/niqab banned on security grounds.

The burka/niqab is a backward practice that oppresses women.

We have launched a petition that we intend to deliver to Justice Secretary Shabana Mahmood, demanding that there is an urgent public referendum on this issue.

This is defiance against British life & culture. Wear it at home but not in public. Nobody should wear any kind of face covering for security reasons.

This primitive practice has no place in Britain. We are not YET a backwards third world country, although it will not be long unless there’s change.

Covering up too much can possibly damage the skin. It also seems to me to be an anti social practise.

If they want to dress up in shrouds they should live in Afghanistan, not the UK.

The burka has no place in the UK.
