PETITION: Ban the burka! Ban this oppressive medieval practice!

Goal: 100,000 Signatures

ADDRESSED TO: JUSTICE SECRETARY SHABANA MAHMOOD

Today, in the House of Commons, a Reform MP, Sarah Pochin, questioned Keir Starmer about banning the oppressive Islamic burka.

Keir Starmer ignored the question, but the question has caused a storm in politics and in the media.

The British people overwhelmingly want the burka/niqab banned on security grounds.

The burka/niqab is a backward practice that oppresses women.

We have launched a petition that we intend to deliver to Justice Secretary Shabana Mahmood, demanding that there is an urgent public referendum on this issue.

If you want to come to Britain, then adopt our culture. Don’t try and change it to the country you are fleeing.

The Burka has no place in our country, we have our laws that should protect our culture , this intolerant religion should respect us.

I don’t see the item as part of integrating into an open honest western society.

There should be no face coverings in public places except for authorised bona fide health reasons.

Public safety is paramount. No cultural exemptions
