Unfortunately, Greater Manchester Police seem to be gearing up to crush the Battle Bus.

After Ashlea and I visited Urmston police station to retrieve the Battle Bus, the police rang our insurance company and scared them into cancelling on us.

Without insurance, we cannot collect the minibus.

The police can legally crush any seized vehicle after fourteen days if it hasn't been collected.

After discussing the situation with our solicitors, we changed strategy.

Instead we told Greater Manchester Police that we would simply get the Battle Bus collected by a third-party recovery company back to private land.

That means we wouldn't need any insurance as the recovery company is insured to collect and transport vehicles.

Greater Manchester Police agreed with the new plan, and requested insurance and driving licence details from the recovery company.

The recovery company in question emailed Greater Manchester Police with their insurance details and the driving licence of their designated driver.

Then, today, we finally received a response saying that they will not release the Battle Bus despite it being picked up by a recovery company.

The police are insisting that I personally get insured on the Battle Bus.

No doubt, if I do, they will simply ring the new insurance company up and get it cancelled, again.

The police are doing all of this deliberately, so that when the fourteen day limit passes (this coming Monday), they can legally crush the minibus.

It's obstruction, followed by obstruction, followed by more obstruction.

Our legal team have emailed Greater Manchester Police to inform them in the strongest terms that crushing the Battle Bus will result in immediate High Court legal action.

But Greater Manchester Police are acting like a law unto themselves, just continually obstructing everything we try to do.

Who knows what they will do!

All we can do is keep fighting and keep our legal team engaged, which they are, every day, behind the scenes, emailing and negotiating with Greater Manchester Police.

I have instructed our legal team to massively escalate the situation if they feel that Greater Manchester Police will crush the minibus.

I have told them to do whatever they can to prevent it from happening.
