PETITION: No mega mosque in the Lake District!

Construction of a huge new £2.5 million mega mosque in the picturesque Lake District national park in Cumbria has begun.

The local British residents are angry that their concerns have been ignored.

Local British suppliers have refused to work with the builders of the new mega mosque.

We are calling on Cumbria County Council to rescind the planning permission for this unnecessary monstrosity!

We want to hand-deliver this petition to Cumbria County Council in Carlisle.

It’s so obvious that it isn’t needed there, it’s completely inappropriate. It’s an openly hostile, invasive move to build a mega mosque there on pristine green belt land – especially considering there isn’t even a massive Muslim population anywhere nearby. So where is the demand coming from? What is the justification? This is clearly a land-grab attempt, meant to destroy the local community’s culture and way of life. They tried to do the exact same thing in Cornwall – and the locals fought back and stopped it. This has to be fought at every turn. Don’t give an inch.
