PETITION: No mega mosque in the Lake District!

Construction of a huge new £2.5 million mega mosque in the picturesque Lake District national park in Cumbria has begun.

The local British residents are angry that their concerns have been ignored.

Local British suppliers have refused to work with the builders of the new mega mosque.

We are calling on Cumbria County Council to rescind the planning permission for this unnecessary monstrosity!

We want to hand-deliver this petition to Cumbria County Council in Carlisle.

The scale and massing of the structure is totally out of character for any area let alone one in a National Park with restricted conversation policies

This is an area of outstanding natural beauty. A mosque would not only ruin our native landscape but also could potentially be a security risk.
