Suspected suicide bombers have killed at least 189 people at churches in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday.
More than 500 have been injured in the blasts.
A blast has also been reported in a suburb of the capital, Columbo, killing three police officers.
The Daily Express reports:
‘The government has restricted access to Facebook, Whatsapp and Viber on the island and have imposed a curfew for the entire country. All domestic flights had been suspended until further notice.’
At St Sebastian's church in Katuwapitiya, at least fifty Christians have been killed.
Also targeted were several hotels, such as the Shangri-La Hotel and Cinnamon Grand.
We doubt very much that Mayor of London Sadiq Khan will order the police to provide security for churches today in response to this terrorist outrage.
We also doubt there will be an outpouring of grief from the mainstream media.
