PETITION: Ban the burka! Ban this oppressive medieval practice!

Goal: 100,000 Signatures

ADDRESSED TO: JUSTICE SECRETARY SHABANA MAHMOOD

Today, in the House of Commons, a Reform MP, Sarah Pochin, questioned Keir Starmer about banning the oppressive Islamic burka.

Keir Starmer ignored the question, but the question has caused a storm in politics and in the media.

The British people overwhelmingly want the burka/niqab banned on security grounds.

The burka/niqab is a backward practice that oppresses women.

We have launched a petition that we intend to deliver to Justice Secretary Shabana Mahmood, demanding that there is an urgent public referendum on this issue.

Whether or not opressed Muslimas admit it, the burka is oppressive against women and it poses a security threat.

This simply has to stop. As well as being a mass security risk, the burka goes against our British values.

We have to remove motorcycle helmets for security purposes at certain establishments. All other face coverings should be removed too.

I feel its a security risk almost as much as its oppressing females, its a reminder that the the religion it comes from treets woman as possessions .
