TAKE ACTION: SAY NO TO BRADFORD PUB MOSQUE CONVERSION!

The Green Man Public House on the Otley Road in Undercliffe, near Bradford town centre, has been part of our cultural heritage for 230 years.

This historic pub has been a feature of the local landscape since the 1790s, but now an Islamic educational trust has submitted plans to Bradford Council calling for the change of use of the building to an 'educational/community centre'.

The application has been submitted by the Al-Faiz Trust and would see the ground floor of the building converted into a community hall, while the first floor would be converted into classrooms, offices and a kitchen.

The time has come to make a stand against the takeover of our cultural heritage by Islamic organisations of this nature.

To whom it may concern,
The historic Green Man Public House on the Otley Road in Undercliffe, near Bradford town centre, has been part of the local landscape since the 1790s,.
I understand that an Islamic educational trust has submitted plans to Bradford Council calling for the change of use of the building to an 'educational/community centre'.
The application has been submitted by the Al-Faiz Trust and would see the ground floor of the building converted into a community hall, while the first floor would be converted into classrooms, offices and a kitchen.
The problem, as with most conversions of this nature, is that the building will end up being taken away from the community as a whole and restricted to the use of Muslims only - a discriminatory practice that has become commonplace all over the country in similar circumstances, even if it is not explicitly called for in this specific planning application.
A 'community hall' under such circumstances often becomes a de facto mosque, while 'classrooms' become a breeding ground for the Islamic teaching of hatred and discrimination against the non-Muslim community through the doctrine of 'al-Walaa-wal-Baraa' - (Alliance and Disassociation) - an Islamic mainstream doctrine which is obligatory for all Muslims.
The time has come to make a stand against the takeover of our cultural heritage by Islamic organisations of this nature.
I demand that this planning application and all subsequent applications of this nature are refused on the grounds that the hatred and discrimination that form part and parcel of the ideology and the teachings of Islam have no place in our country.
