<p>FOR THE ATTENTION OF SIMON EYLES, MANAGING DIRECTOR AND CEO OF BETTYS AND TAYLORS (YORKSHIRE TEA):</p> <p>Back in February when Chancellor Richi Sunak posted a picture of himself on Twitter with a large bag of Yorkshire Tea, your company went out of its way to declare itself to be above the fray of petty politics - apparently all you wanted to do was to make tea, and not to take sides or to endorse any particular political celebrity or organisation.</p> <p>So far, so good - that is, until 'Black Lives Matter' (BLM) started its campaign of violent demonstrations in the wake of the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.</p> <p>At that point any pretence of political impartiality went out of the window as the executives of Yorkshire Tea fell over themselves to endorse the extreme violence, looting, burnings and general mayhem of the Black Lives Matter movement in the name of virtue signalling their opposition to 'racism', 'imperialism' and 'capitalism'.</p> <p>Quite apart from the fact that the BLM protests have nothing to do with 'racism' and everything to do with black supremacy and the destruction of white history, heritage and culture, the irony is that Yorkshire Tea was itself founded on imperialism, capitalism and the exploitation of Indian tea workers since the late 1800s.</p> <p>I call for a public apology and an end to the disgusting display of cowardice and hypocrisy of the owners of Yorkshire Tea who may well want to avoid ending up at the end of the rope of a howling Left-wing lynch mob, but who have nothing to say about the destruction of our history, heritage and culture - not to mention the breakdown of law and order that is rapidly approaching a tipping point in this country.</p> <p>I look forward to hearing from you at the earliest opportunity.</p><p id="sign_off" class="mceNonEditable">
